At first you can visit the castle, on a hill above the old town, dominates the city of Bratislava. The Old City is best to see with a tour guide. You can take Free city tour if you like. The Meeting point is on Hviezdoslavovo namestie by the Statue of Hviezdoslav outside the U.S. Embassy. Tour starts every day at 11:00 am and 3:00 pm.
If you want to see the city by yourself, you can start on the main square in the Old Town Hall. The museum is dedicated to the history of Bratislava. Very close is also Primate’s Palace. The opulent Hall of Mirrors will enchant you; it is here, where the Habsburgs signed the famous Peace treaty of Bratislava with Napoleon in 1805.
You can enjoy your lunch 87 m above the SNP Bridge and the river Danube in UFO Restaurant. You can get tatarak or exclusive Catfish fillet. You can taste the culture the best through the food and drinks. If you like some wine, go to the Narodny salon vin. Every year you can taste the best of Slovak wines.
